HI ALL,
i m on a MacPro 5.1 2010 - Monterey 12.7.1 with Martin's Package - 0.9.5 (thx to him) and below here s my pci configuration.. as you can see ssd with 2b2 firmware (with you can't update with newer firmware (try with magician)) are like limited in read/write speed when the 4b2 firmware let the speed go up to max. AM I RIGHT or is there a problem of pci bandwidth limit or anything else ?

SONNET TECHNOLOGIES MCFIVER 10g - SLOT 4
970_01 // 2TO // 2B2QEXM7 // 1500/1500 Mo/s
970_02 // 2TO // 2B2QXEM7 // 1500/1500 Mo/s

ANGELBIRD WINGS PX1 - SLOT 3
SCRATCH // 1TO // 4B2QEXM7 // 2700/2800 Mo/s

I/OCREST - SYBA SI-PEX40129 - SLOT 2
CATALINA // 2TO // 2B2QXEM7 // 1500/1500 Mo/s
MONTEREY // 2TO // 4B2QEXM7 // 2600/2600 Mo/s

GPU AMD RADEON VII - SLOT 1

Please double check the actual config.

The number doesn’t look right to me. It’s practically impossible to have 2800MB/s in slot3.

It looks like you accidentally swapped the scratch drive and Catalina drive’s performance.

ANGELBIRD WINGS PX1 - SLOT 3
SCRATCH // 1TO // 4B2QEXM7 // 2700/2800 Mo/s

This is not even possible. Angelbirds Wings PX1 is just an adapter/dumb card and is limited to PCIe v2.0 x4 throughput (~1450MB/s), even if you install it to slots 1 or 2.

You are mistaken about where/how the NVMe blades are installed.

Scratch is the only 1To ssd I have, and he s in the ANGELBIRD wings px1 in slot 3 as you can see in the picture of internal configuration... my question is, can it be by the fact they have made change in controller (like the 980 pro) with more cache [phoenix vs elpis] ??
ps: if h9826790 or tsialex wants, I can share my screen live and you can test all my disks to see

This is physically impossible. Slot-3 is PCIe v2.0 with just 4 lanes = ~1450MB/s real life total throughput. You are clearly mistaken of where the blades are installed. Open each one of the adapters and be sure of what is installed and where.

Btw, SystemInformation report shows that the card is connected to a PCIe v3.0 switched adapter and not to the Angelbirds Wings PX1:

The PCI info clearly says the 1TB NVMe is in slot 2 (slot-2@17,0,0).

You believe that’s in slot 3, in the PX1. But all your speed tests and screen captures suggest the opposite.

Hello,
after investigation, you are right !!! my bad my bad...
i ve change to put them in right place, and I can confirm both 2B2QXEM7 & 4B2QEXM7 firmwares give same speed, I ve puted them in the syba card, and they are working at the same speed.... thank you very much to spend your time to help others and taking time to answer, sorry again for my mistake..

edit: after many change I think something went wrong, my I/OCREST - SYBA SI-PEX40129 does t work anymore... :(
fan works, but ssd doesnt mount on my desk, I ve puted them in another cards, all is ok, if I put any of my nvme in the card in slot2 or 3 or 4, no hard drive mount, the card is not seen by system in "about your Mac"....if anyone knows how repair or where can I send the card..let me know thank you again
