Hi guys.

I have a Macbook where I've exchanged the old conventional HD with an 2,5" SSD. Is it possible to install macOS High Sierra with APFS on a separate partition along with a partition running Mac OS Sierra with HFS?

Or do both partitions have to be either HFS or APFS? I can't really figure out.

So both partitions with different filesystems can be on the same and only drive?
Yes. I tested High Sierra with this configuration.
An APFS container is merely a GPT partition.

My partitions during testing:
1: HFS+, macOS 10.12
2: APFS container, macOS 10.13 beta
3: NTFS, Windows 10
4: ext4, Ubuntu
