While looking up camera accessories the iPhone I came across this phone stand:

It seems really portable and something that I could carry with me all the time. I don't need, or want, to use tripods.
Do you have experience using this, or similar, stands? If not this, which one will you recommend?
Using this I can take groups pictures/selfies with the main camera on my IP 8, and that gives me a step up in IQ.
On the subject of self-portraits, I've noticed that the self-timer shoots only multiple frames, and not just one. This is weird. Is there some way to have the main camera actuate the shutter only once, even when used with the self-timer?
