It's probably just "theoretical" support at the moment, even though no average Mac would have anything close to the power requirements of running VR. Most development studios run workstations that are miles above any home user computer in processing/graphics power, that's pretty normal.

Either they're banking on better Mac GPUs in the future, or making VR less power-hungry in general (which would be more ideal for the sake getting it out in more hands of the masses), if not both.
