Resolved Stop the "install El Capitan" popup

Hello all,

my partner's iMac keeps on getting the "install El Capitan now!!1!" popup. There is no "dismiss" option, only "not now" and "restart". Is there a way to dismiss it permanently? He is using software that Cappy is not compatible with.

my partner's iMac keeps on getting the "install El Capitan now!!1!" popup. There is no "dismiss" option, only "not now" and "restart". Is there a way to dismiss it permanently? He is using software that Cappy is not compatible with.

Go to the App Store and open 'Updates' where you'll see the prompt.

Right-click that banner and click 'Hide Update'.
