Storage option for 9.7 iPad Pro

Hi there,

In two months it is my birthday. That's why I'm looking for a new iPad. As I am coming from an iPad mini 3 I'm looking for the 9.7 inch iPads.
First I was thinking of getting the 2017 iPad, but after seeing it in store I really didn't like the non laminated display in comparison with the others. That's why the 9.7 inch iPad Pro has grabbed my attention.

Now, I was wondering which storage option I should go for: the 32 GB base model or the 128 GB one.
I'm not really planning on using it intensely or as my primary device so I think the 32 GB one should be alright for me. What do you guys think.

Assuming you don't download a lot of media or games, 32GB sounds appropriate for your usage. Especially since you have not even consumed half of the storage on your Mini. But it all comes down to what you think need for storage based on uses.

You see, I thought 32GB will be ok for me as well but after downloading only a few essential apps and a couple of games I had only 10GB left so thought of upgrading to 128GB. Although it's only the 2017 iPad for me.

Given iOS also takes up space, a 32GB iPad only leaves you with maybe around 6-8GB free at your current usage. Question is do you think that's sufficient for however long you intend to keep using the iPad?

I would get 128GB. I originally had a 32GB Ipad pro 9.7 as well and was forced to upgrade due to being out of storage.
That why I have a 256GB Ipad Pro 10.5. A small price increase is worth the peace of mind especially if you plan to keep it for 2+ years.
Also you can save some money buy purchasing a best buy open box model or using a student coupon if you are a student

If you can afford it get the 128gb. Can't add later and your new iPad will be ready to serve for a few years.

You can't purchase a new 9.7 iPad Pro' directly from Apple, aside from refurbished models they sell online. But other third party retailers are still selling new in the box.

It's talking about the Pro 9.7 from last year, not the recently released Pro 10.5.

But how are you going to get one?
They don't sell them anymore. refurbs are only $80 off list, so why would you not just get a 10.5 for the extra $160 or whatever it is and double the storage.

Given the original question, not intending to use it for anything intense, i think id be looking towards the 2017.
