Mac OS X hasn't been sold in a very long time. What version are you trying to download? The last version of Apple's operating system that was called Mac OS X was El Cap.

I am trying to reset to its base OS I.e.Mt Lion, but it's unable to get download showing message "

Trying to download OS Lion, I guess that's what it came with, I bought this Macbook in resale while I was using it was on Yosemite further I tried upgrading to El Captain but unfortunately it got stuck and now when I try resetting it to OS Lion it says

Can't download the additional components needed to install Mac OS X​

I would put the computer in Recovery mode, and try to upgrade the OS to the latest version if possible.
