iPad mini Stuck in a loop?

A neighbor with vision problems asked me to help her with her iPad - Model A1489. She doesn't know how Siri was activated and there is another problem:When she starts is the message "This accessory may not be supported" appears. The Dismiss button does not work. Turning it off and restarting doesn't work. Siri opens and the dialog box reappears.

Is there anything connected to the lightning port when you get the message? Is the port clean?
