Studio display Mojave

Hi. I’m currently on Mojave still for some legacy applications. I’m considering getting a studio display. Does anyone know if it works just as a screen? I will upgrade my Mac at some point but I’m probably going to freeze my current laptop to Mojave.

Any first hand experience here would be v useful. Thanks

Just in case anyone finds this useful, I spoke to Apple support and after a bit of wrangling between the pleasantries they said it would work, but is not supported and not advised etc. Big chunk of money to take a punt on so...hmmm maybe not yet!
