First of all, I used Apple m.2 card to DIY heat dissipation for Optane due to the original one is too thin and not good enough. As you known that m.2 length is 22110 so just can do like this as limited space (The cover is just fit when you put it on). I think this is the best way considering it will not loose after configured.

Now, turn on the Mac Pro and Optane 905p m.2 could be recognized, then using Windows to test the read and write. Unfortunately , when Mac Pro 2013 run pcie 2.0x4 limits the performance of Optane 905p m.2. If you ask me how about the feeling? It's obvious operation system and the program running speed up, that proofs Optane 905p m.2 4K read and write really strong.

The testing totally completed and it showed that Mac Pro 2013 is compatible with the Optane 905p m. 2. I hope this sharing will give you some inspiration.
