Summerboard Please Help

I have recently installed summerbaord and it is not seem to work..I restarted the phone installed subsystem and even uninstalled and reinstalled summerboard...I also changed things such as wallpaper or snapping to see if changes would occur...at the bottom of the preferences next to the summerbaord version number it says inactive, but i can't figure out how to activate it. IF anyone has answers please let me know

sound like you need to restart your phone. power down completed hold top button down, slide power off, then restart. might take a few second to restart.
