You might get more traction posting either in the MacBook pro or MacBook Air forums, since the MacBook is a discontinued model. It sounds like for what use you're describing, an Air would work fine for you. Nothing you list is particularly challenging for a modern computer. Zoom and Google, if they cause the air to heat up, will probably get the fans spinning on the base model pro as well.
