There must be an easy fix to this but I can't find it.
I use iTunes to manage my music.
I have it set to sync checked music only.
I sync about 40gb of music with my iPhone 7, which has 128gb of storage.
I've decided my iPod touch, which has sat in a drawer for five years, is a great way to listen to music in my car without running down my phone battery. However, my iPod touch has only 30gb of space.
I don't want to manually manage music as I have about sixty playlists, which I would have to drag over one at a time. Laborious.
Is there a way to have checked music for one device (one that can take a large capacity) and also for a second device (one with lower capacity) and do one button sync or am I stuck checking and unchecking every time I want to sync music on either device?
Semi-practical example:
Let's say I want all my Led Zeppelin albums on my iPhone 7. Great. They're all checked, I sync, they all fit.
Let's say I only want Led Zeppelin IV on my iPod Touch. How do I set up iTunes so iPhone 7 gets all Led Zeppelin but my iPod only gets the one album by syncing and not managing music manually?
It's okay if I'm asking the impossible.
