Sync selected iCloud Contacts group

Hi all,

Does anyone know if it's possible to create a contact group in iCloud and sync only that group instead of all contacts? I've been searching for this a while but couldn't find a solution, so maybe it's not possible but was wondering if anyone was able to find a way around this. Thanks!

iCloud contacts sync. That's pretty much the entire point of them.

On my laptop, the procedure to create the On My Mac account isn't so straightforward (you need to turn off the iCloud account, add a new contact, then re-enable the iCloud account).

On my phone, the local "Phone" account is always there it seems, even when empty, so just move your contacts there that you don't want to sync.
