For now at the moment, I’m using 2fa username and password with an authenticator app.
I’m planning to or try using passkey added or synced to iCloud Keychain.
My question is, what happens if I lose my phone or get a new iPhone? Besides my MacBook Pro, what do I need to do to get my passkey to work on the MacBook in case I lose my phone or get a new phone?
Or suppose if I don’t even have my MacBook Pro with me, then what do I need to do if I get a new iPhone then how can I get the passkey to work on my Google account after I get the new iPhone? Will I have to sign in to my iCloud account and then it will automatically be added to the Safari password manager setting?
My second question is, what happens to people who don’t have other Apple devices? What can they do if they don’t have their iPhone with them where the passkey is stored?
