Is there any sign of a System-wide zoom on 10.11 like on Windows? On my bootcamp partition I run Windows at 150% zoom with native resolution (2880x1800 on 15" rmbp). I'd like to do the same on OSX as well so I can run at native resolution but still have readable text. Thx.

it's been there for non-retina screens for a while, not sure about non-retina:

Thanks for the response but that's not what I'm referring to (unless I've misunderstood your response). I usually run in 1920x1200 for a balance of extra screen real estate and legibility. What I'd like to do is to run on native resolution (2880x1800) but have the system font size zoomed in so that system text is more legible. I can do this on Windows 7, just wondering if this was added in 10.11.

Windows and OS X handles the scaling differently. To do what you're saying on OS X would require an entire overhaul of the scaling system and they did not do that at all for El Cap.

I do not foresee Apple ever changing this in the future, they're likely to stay with this scaling system for a long time.

This will never happen in OS X because it messes up the spacial relations within the UI. Use scaled resolutions, this is what they are there for.

Ok, thx for the explanation.
