It was reported that T-Mobile customers would enable wifi calling over cellular and if you had your iPhone at home you could take your iPad to McDonald's to make and receive calls over wifi.

T-Mobile and AppleCare totally denied this ever excited today. What apple says about iOS 9 is with wifi calling and T-Mobile the iPhone can be anywhere as long as it's on the same wifi network, previously with iOS 8
It had to be close by.

Here is a link of the announcement of this feature that seems to be bogus

I think since I am on a Walmart plan, and pay by the minute wifi calling over cellular is a feature I don't get

I would like to hear from people that actually got this to work as advertised by 9to5mac.

I turned on wifi calling on my iPhone and I turned it on the iPad. I entered the PIN number into the iPhone
I tried connecting each device to a different wifi network and it didn't work as 9to5mac said

Wifi calling from the iPhone worked.
