My 15" mid 2010 Macbook Pro has the infamous kernel panic issue, I've already fixed the issue on MacOS using a tool, but I'd like to install windows on it aswell but however the problem is that I cannot even boot into the installer without it crashing. I know you can prevent it from crashing if you already have windows installed by downclocking the gpu but I cannot get windows installed in the first place.

Looks like Windows 10 installs fine, but Windows 7 doesn't which really is a bummer.
Installing the bootcamp drivers goes fine, until the gpu causes the system to crash before I can even downclock the gpu, once restarted with the Nvidia drivers it crashes immediately before it even gets to the lock screen unless in safe mode which is problematic.
How can I downclock the GPU without booting the system with the drivers in, in safe mode?
