Hello All,

I am considering adding another 20" ACD to my current set up (2.66 Mac Pro, 7300 GT, 2 gigs RAM, 20" ACD). Thus far, the Mac Pro has been wonderful -- very fast and very quiet. I do mostly print work, with some page layout and photo work on the side. My concern is that adding another 20" ACD will reduce the performance and/or increase the heat (and thus cause the fans to run faster and louder). I have done some looking into this, and most of the info I have found says that the performance hit is not that bad in general, but I haven't found much on the heat issue. Anyone have thoughts about or experience with either (or both) of these issues?

Many thanks!

You will be running with a higher res., so it would take up some GPU power. But otherwise, you will end up being more productive, no matter how slow the computer gets.(Not that it will)
