I find editing text a bit harder than it should be on the iPad.

If I make an error - (and I do that quite a bit) - I place my finger on the error to correct it.

The loupe appears - but it's quite imprecise. I might be a couple of characters off. I then play a hand-eye coordination game, trying to get the cursor into exactly the right spot. It can be difficult.

On a desktop, If I miss with the mouse, I can reposition the cursor with cursor keys. But these keys are not available on the iPad.

My solution is that some sort of cursor keys should be available for making small moves (nudges) to the typing cursor. Perhaps they could vanish once I start typing.

Does anyone else find this a problem?

It is sometimes worse than that. There are many iPad apps that won't allow you to place the cursor in the middle of a word... only immediately before or after it. The only option is to select the word and retype it.
