iPhone 12 mini Text Message Received as Email , Not Received on Cellphone (???)

Son Receives my Text as an Email while I sent Text to his Cellphone Number.. Prior to Sending Text I checked that the Right Boxc was checked off to indicate Text was to go to Cell Number.. But it didn't, Question is Why Not ?? I have absolutely no problem when Texting my Daughter and correct box is checked off.. Thoughts and Opinions Appreciated.. Cheers Thanks

You’ve probably got your email ticked within the iMessage settings, turn it off and just leave your mobile number ticked.
