iPhone XS Max Text message through car’s Bluetooth

I am unable to configure texting with my late-model Toyota’s Bluetooth. Anyone know if this is possible? I was able to do so with my Android Note 9. It was seamless and brief responses were possible with their menu. I understand it is a safety issue and am I am not looking to enable complex and prolonged texting.

Just ask Siri to read messages to you and then reply using Siri as well.
