As long as it sells, what difference does it make who buys it?

Most don’t care. We forget that 99.9% have no idea what is going on with their phone, they just use it.

It is US that is not normal.

Pretty much this. I make no apologies for buying (finally) a 'Pro' phone; I've owned every other iPhone since the 4, and figured it was time for a bit of an upgrade.

But you know what I've *NEVER* had to do? Get mine fixed (aside from last year when I decided it was a great idea to run over my phone with my truck LOL). No, it doesn't have all the latest features...it'd be nice for it to. But, much like my 2020 Toyota Tundra, while it doesn't have the latest features, or the absolute most power, the features it DOES have work, and work reliably.

60Hz is absolutely fine............as long as you've never seen ProMotion. General consensus is that it is 100% one of those 'you can't go back' things, like HD was 15 years ago.

I have ProMotion on my iPad Pro and barely notice the difference, don’t miss it on the iPhone. Bad eyesight though. It’s subjective how much you notice it and whether you “can’t go back”. There is a lot of variance in human vision, one can’t really generalize from personal experience.

Saying that no one cares etc that the 14 has a 60 hz screen in 2022 is besides the point. Its the principle that matters. Apple selling a phone for £850/£950 with a 60 hz screen is an absolute insult to the general public. I've stated this multiple times in other threads, but at this point its actually hard to find an Android phone at any price that has a 60 hz screen!.

60hz on iPhones is still very smooth due to the fact iPhones have a 120hz touch sample rate. Agreed 120hz would be nice but I’d prefer a telephoto at this point, that’s way more overdue.

They could have played ball a little and thrown in a 90hz, I think 90hz would be great on iOS and would be a nice addition to these devices. Semi-Pro motion? LOL
