Last year I connected an iPad mini 2 (iOS 7) to an Mac (OS X 10.10 Yosemite), opened QuickTime, started a New Movie Recording, selected the Camera input as the iPad, then recorded the iPad display on the Mac without issue.
This year I’m attempting to do the same however it is not possible to select the Camera input as the iPad, it simply no longer appears as an option. The only change is that the iMac is now running OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan, the iPad mini 2 continues to run iOS 7.1.2.
After a reset of both devices, no luck still.
What exactly is the issue here? Why isn’t it just working still? And what could be the ways to correct this?
