I am a user of a1082 monitor.
I am using it comfortably with no LCD burns, but the entire screen has a reddish tint to it.
Is this due to deterioration of the CCFL backlight?
I would appreciate it if anyone has had this symptom.
If anyone has repaired it, I would like to know if replacing the backlight cured the problem.
I would like to ask people who use the polycarbonate model Apple studio display or A1081,1083.

Most likely yes. It's a really old monitor at this point. I always appreciate when people use hardware for as long as possible, but replacing the backlight probably isn't worth it. I'm not even sure if you can still even get the right CCFL backlight for this panel.

Keep using this old monitor, if the reddish tint doesn't bother you too much, since it's not completely useless yet. Otherwise.. it's probably time to look for a replacement.
