actually, i guess it's more like.. jason bourne, since it can't remember anything that happened before the 'accident.'

Almost identical as my story!
Tree months ago I got these strange "lightsabor" noices from my 1.5GHz PowerBook. I figured it was the harddrive and used CCC to create a complete bootable copy to my external disk.

A week or so later it suddenly died after creating chain saw noices for 5 minutes.

It is now running on Hitachi Travelstar 7K100. :D

that is the exact same new drive that i just ordered from owc. good call!
