I've noticed a few things with the new Photos app on iOS 10. "Advanced Computer Vision" and People work across all photos on my devices including those synced from my Mac. However, only the photos in my Camera Roll and Photo Stream appear in Places. Has anyone gotten Places to work with synced photos from iTunes? Also, for those of you with macOS Sierra, does the Faces feature get converted to the new People feature, or do the two features exist separately? Does the People from the mac sync to other devices over iTunes? I'd hate to have to sort the people manually on three different devices.
