Couple of days ago I was describing taking a few photos at Lundbreck Falls to get used to using the new Z-50. Not the best time of the year and the lighting was nowhere near optimal. The bridge shot took a fair bit of 'tinkering' to show any life whatsoever. For better or worse here they are.

The goose shot is cropped a fair bit. Who knows? Had I not had to retrieve my lid I might not have gone down to the rivers edge and spotted the geese.

2024 Eclips{(e)-e-e-e-e}

ATL; pure sunlight, diffracted through a Japanese Maple; iPhone 13-mini

I'll be almost 90y/o when the next one comes-around this location
Took me awhile to figure that one out. Essentially a whole bunch of pinhole cameras projected onto the ground! Love the abstract approach.🤗 Unfortunately our area was partial with just nibble missing from the sun. Just enough cloud to obscure even that.

We had 83% coverage, here (ATL); all the tree-shadows were laced with sunlight-crescents--inverted, of course--ranging from 3cm (overhead foliage), to ~11cm (high canopy).

I enjoyed this eclipsity more than N-GA 100% in 2017 ;)

That's definitely better than sitting in Atlanta, GA traffic.

This Morning, I spent about an hour+20 merely driving 21mi to a Client's house to retrieve a load of bricks for a Home DIY Project . . . it took me another 2h to return, Home <grr>

I spent another 2h+ round-trip, afterwards (in the A/T get-around car), going to the grocery, etc.

My BP appreciates audiobooks ;)

I used to frequent a town in the Rust Belt, between closed General Motors factories and warehouses. I took some time to get photos one evening.

So a few shots from a follow up visit to Lundbreck Falls with genuine sunshine.

Another view of that fence end I worked around. I think this view exaggerates things. I had no difficulty getting solid footing on either side of it.

The Geese were still around and still posing. Suspect the pair is nesting nearby.

There are several cantilevered observation platforms, but I prefer these non platformed views.

"Danger" sign?!?!? What Danger sign? I don't see a Danger sign. Do any of the rest of you see a Danger sign? Not me. I don't see a Danger sign.

Just sayin'........... 😲

Nice localized sunset last night. I always expose for the highlights and let the rest of an image fall where it may. My thinking being; I can take care of the shadows post image. Normally I just let foregrounds go black on sunsets, but in this case I wanted just a bit of the shadow detail to come through. Used Tone mapping in AffinityPhoto to accomplish that and because it is a sunset, I tossed in just a touch of enhancement.

Shot at an ISO of 400, ƒ-11@1/800, 140mm (210mm equiv). As always best viewed full frame.

Strange that such a peaceful, and tranquil, photo would bring my memory to the Castle Bravo nuc-test in '54 . . .

14y before my birth, and it still devastates me, to this day.

Thank you for an image that I may use to replace that memory ;)

I lived in Cleveland for a time and took these on a visit back, not too long after leaving. I never felt a compelling reason to share them before, but seeing yours and being reminded seemed good enough!

There is much all over this country to see, but Ohio is interesting near the waterways. I have some Cincinnati area photos I might dig up. I wish I'd spent time in Wheeling, West Virginia to get photos. I'd like to find some of my Philadelphia photos, also. I have too many photos and I could overwhelm this thread, which is why I'm trying to limit my influence.

I'll bite. I've lived in Cleveland since 2008. (Mrs. Diver grew up in Cleveland Hts.)

These images were shot in the same general area of the city as coolguy4747's images.

I had previously posted a couple for these on MR.

One of my favourite spring hikes goes from the Frank Slide visitor area then above the the top edge of the slide. While there are some nice views, it's the emerging spring growth that makes this hike so much fun. The super close-up abilities of the little Oly TG-6 made it my camera of choice for the latest version of this spring ritual.

I like the @bousozoku thumbnail approach, as clicking on the first image brings it up at full resolution. Then you can advance through the entire string at full resolution. So I am going to try it with this set.

EDIT: I see it gets close to full resolution but you can zoom in with one click, then easily advance to the next image so I'll go that route. Your thoughts?
