Curious why the two firewire setup on the PB G3was reduced to one on the current Tibook... as now we must use a PCI~firewire adapter to allow dv input and the firewire port connected to external storage (or vice versa).

Anyone know if an active firewrie hub or daisy-chaining a camera and ext storage unit works using one firewire port? My logic says it "overstuffs" the firewire "tube" having input and outputs going on at the same time.

They needed space

From what I understand, the decision to go with just 1 firewire port instead of 2 was due to the space limitations of the narrow enclosure of the Powerbook G4. The Powerbook G3 had more space to house 2.

Tibook2

Think I need to clarify... what is the best (fastest) way to connect my dv camera and an external firewire storage unit to a Tibook?

Also will the new Tibook have two firewire ports?
