So I bought a 2TB western digital external drive (USB 2.0) to back up my macbook with. I have a question, though.
Since it's USB and only connected part of the time, should I leave the toggle switch for time machine on all the time or only when I have the drive plugged in? I plan on attaching it at least once a day, but I don't want to have battery drain from time machine being on and not having anything to connect to.
