Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help with the following problem. For a good few years we have been using an old PMG5 running OS X 10.5.8 Server v1.1, as a stand alone TimeMachine backup Server. It's worked fantastically well backing up all our iMacs, Macbook etc to its internal HD. We run primarily 2008/9 iMac 20/24" devices for office use and as these are obsolete now, they are stuck on 10.11. Devices applicable to taking 10.12, have slowly been upgraded through the past 10 months etc.

Onto the main point of the thread. It's been pointed out only in the last week that these devices have stopped backing up to TM. On further investigation I'm getting the following error (See attached Screenshot). I'm guessing the gap difference between 10.5 and 10.12 is too great for compatibility. However does anyone else know a work around.

We also have 3 more Server, the first running 10.12 and the other two running 10.11. I have a look a possibly using one of the 10.11 servers as a pass through or a second TM backup for these newer Devices however they are refusing to see the newer Server in TM Prefs.

Thanks in advance for any advice. I can appreciate This might not been an easy one.

Thanks
