I just bought a 1st gen iPod Touch. It is running iOS 1.1.5 I want to mount it in my vehicle horizontally to display coverflow and work for maps. I'll download SBRotator through Cydia to do this.

I have looked at blogs and youtube videos, but can't seem to find a jailbreak for this old of firmware. I tried downloading 3.1.3 firmware but iTunes said it couldn't be updated to it.

Could I please get some help? I've only jailbroken once before and that was on a newer Touch.

Thanks.

Visit it on your device. Read some posts it works on older devices.

I just tried that. It gave me a message when I went to the website saying:
Welp.
Version too new.
You need to downgrade to 4.0.1/3.2.1 or earlier
(which may be impossible,
explanation) before you can use this site.
More info >>

But in iTunes it says that I have 1.1.5. It also says that on the iPod.

What now?

Update the iPod to 3.1.3 and jailbreak with http://www.spiritjb.com/
