Any idea why this might be?

I took my iPhone 6s running with me yesterday, so thought it might have gotten a bit wet, but very very very minimally wet. Like hardly at all. Nevertheless it has been in rice all night...

It was working fine all afternoon after my run, until about 6pm at night when the phone became completely unresponsive to any touch whatsoever. The on button and home button still work fine but the screen is completely unresponsive.

I have tried a hard reset and factory reset, both to no avail.

What to do? And if i need to get a new screen (touch screen) is this an expensive fix?

Thanks
