Before I had my apple watch I was just filling up my red ring with my phone when I was out about.
Then I got my watch and it started filling up my red, green and blue ring.
But some days I don't bother wearing my watch (because it's charging, or whatever) so I just walk about with my phone. But it doesn't fill up my red ring any more.
Is it possible to go back to filling up your red ring with your phone when your watch isn't being worn?
