Hello, does anyone know how to repair a non-responsive trackpad on a Macbook Pro 17 in? It's clicking fine, but no cursor shows.

What happened was I replaced the trackpad a few weeks ago due to a crack in the pad. After the replacement, which was only the silver pad itself, no connections, it worked, but not correctly because it didn't respond the way I expected when I moved it. Sometimes it seemed the cursor wasn't recognized.

So, I tried adjusting the trackpad by turning the screw that tightens it and makes it click, but after that it is now not working at all. I'm wondering if the copper colored cable has something to do with it even though I didn't do anything with that.

Thank you for any help!
