I am transferring data from my external harddrive to my "new-to-me" Mac mini. This is a refurbished mini from the apple store online pretty sure it's a 2011 or 2012. Question: is it typical for the display to disconnect when the data is transferring? It had a progress bar, but now there's just the moving box on my samsung monitor saying to check signal cable. I've switched cords (hdmi<->hdmi and hdmi<->DVI). Should I just wait the hour it showed last I saw the progress bar?
