Hello,

I'm trying to transfer all my photos from an iPhone Xs to a Mac using Photos, but it's unbearably slow. It's so incredibly slow that it's puzzling: it feels like using USB 1.0. Sometimes it even gets stuck on "Preparing to import from iPhone": I can't understand why is it so difficult to transfer some photos.

Is there a faster way to transfer photos from an iPhone to a Mac?

You can use Airdrop to get a bunch of photos to a Mac then import them into your photos library there.
Another alternative is iCloud Photo Library which stores all photos in the cloud so you can access them from any of your devices.
