MP 6,1 Tried installing Monterey on Pro 6,1…

Tried installing Mac OS Monterey on my 6,1 Mac Pro and it just stops outputting video during the install process. Have tried 3 times, with the first as an upgrade install and the second two after using Recovery to erase the SSD.

Anyone in here successfully get Monterey onto your 6,1 Mac Pro?

Note: specs are 6-core, 32gb Ram, 512 ssd, dual d500.

I installed Monterey on my 6,1 on its own volume for testing. No problems.

I was able to resolve:

The only thing that worked was to reinstall Big Sur (using a bootable installer I made with another Mac). After installing latest Big Sur, then repeating the Monterey beta install process it actually completed properly.

NOTE: for whatever reason the Mac Pro 6,1 rebooted about 5 times during installation. I was afraid it was still stuck in a boot loop, but it actually finished up on the last pass.
