To check if UASP is enabled on the currently connected USB devices. Just do " ioreg | grep UAS "

If it shows results then yeah it's enabled if it's empty. Then it's not using UASP. If you grep "mass" etc it's prob gonna show that it's using the usual mass storage driver.

Regarding UASP support on Mac OS. It depends on the chipset though. VL716Q4 doesn't support UASP on Mac. Jmicron one does. My NVMe enclosure with ASM2362 does too

flash VL716_85.31.6.1. (with UASP no push sleep, Idle time active by macOS ) this one is stable. you can try the other with trim at you risk

just checked the club.liangchanba.cn. VL716_R85_48_02_01 has passed the test. but my internet provider does not let me download, I often has problem even go to some Chinese public website. it says "not safe for me" which billions of Chinese visit everyday, but not save for me, force me go back to google search. Amazing freedom.

vl716 Q4 is the only chipset that is public , which means if you are not engineer from VIA , you will not have a Q3 Q2 or Q1. so yes vl716-Q4

VL 716 trim only works on windows. but much more stable on my ssd MTS800. support 2 LCD light.
