iPad Trouble copying files

Hi folks,

Running iPadOS 13.6 and having problems copying items from Google Drive. The folder and/or contents are visible but greyed out so they can’t be selected. I don’t want to upgrade to OS 14 yet because of yet-to-be discovered bugs, so I’m just wondering if there is a fix for this?

Edit: no spinning icon and the folder/contents can be moved to the trash. Then I’ll get a ‘ghost’ file where the progress icon is visible.
