Apple TV trouble getting ATV2 jailbroken

A good while ago I jailbroke my ATV2 and was enjoying Plex. Then recently Apple kept bugging me to upgrade the firmware, which i duly ignored. Then the other day nothing works and the TV screen just has a picture of USB cable and iTunes. This I discovered means I had to do a restore via iTunes. Did the restore and then tried to jailbreak again but every time I attempt to get the ATV into DFU mode SeasonPass crashes.

Any help really welcome. I am a complete novice with this stuff.

Did you restore to IOS 5.2.1 ? "Which is equal to IOS 6.1.3"
If so, that is a tethered jailbreak
