I recently "upgraded" to High Sierra.
But High Sierra doesn't play well with my 2011 MacBook Pro.
So I want to downgrade it back to Sierra.
I've looked at youtube and other places on the web, but nothing addresses my exact problem or actually works.
Help! Thanks!!

Hi there,

You could do 2 things

1.
- backup everything
- press Shift-Option-Command-R at startup. This will allow you to install the original os that came with the macbook. I think it's OSX lion ?
- Erase the drive
- Then upgrade to sierra with an installer.

2.
- Backup everything.
- Create a bootable installer (https://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/bootable-mac-installer-3575875/)
- press command+ R at startup then erase the drive.
- shut down
- boot the mac while holding option
- choose the macos sierra installer
