I updated my 4th Generation iPod Touch to iOS 6.0.1 yesterday. Little did I know that Mail and Safari would just crash. I thought that this was outrageous. I can't even use the default Apple apps!!! Now, I know what you are thinking, just downgrade back to iOS 6 or 5.1.1. YEAH, I TRIED THAT. It showed this when I tried to downgrade it. Could someone please tell me how I can downgrade it??:confused::confused::mad::mad::eek::eek::eek:

btw. i named my ipod "Unknown" to through people off :D

I believe Apple has stopped signing iOS 6.

If I recall, the touch 4th gen has an A4 processor, which means if you have saved SHSH blobs you can restore to iOS 6 using redsnow. If you haven't jailbroken or saved your SHSH blobs with something like tinyumbrella, I believe you are out of luck and cannot go back.

Restoring the device 'as new' with iOS 6.0.1 will probably fix the crashing though.

You cannot downgrade.

If apps are crashing on 6.0.1, then backup your device, re-install 6.0.1, and then restore the backup. That should help.
