Hey guys,

First off let me share my computer specs. I have a 17" PowerBook G4, with 1.67 GHz, 2 GB RAM, and an 80 GB hard drive. I already use a 19" external monitor. If I get a DVI splitter, will I be able to use two external monitors? Thanks!

You can't "split" DVI. It's a digital signal and one port goes to one monitor. I've never even seen a DVI splitter. And before someone jumps on me about this, no, those proprietary ports on Dells and HPs that look like DVI and which you can split out to two DVI monitors are not actually DVI.

Your only option would be getting the Matrox DualHead or something like that, but it's VGA and will be a couple hundred bucks all said and done, plus it won't be the best user experience because it makes your computer think it is one big monitor rather than two or three. It would be better to sell your 19" and get a 24" or something if you need more space.
