One of the things that has always frustrated me personally is not having a good touch screen driver built into the Operating System of macOS. With the introduction and encouragement of moving apps into macOS from iOS, I was hoping for something like that as it would be a seemless transition on the consumer side to connect a touch screen and interact with the same apps on the same way. Thoughts?

The mac isn't made for Touchscreens and I don't see any reasons to add this functionality. People who draw and use their Macs for it have third party accessories designed for it. I don't why anyone else would need that...

I'm very happy that apple doesn't follow this useless Touchscreen trend on laptops.
