Resolved Unable to open preference pane (fixed by clean installation)

Does anyone see this after 10.14.2 update?

I did a bit of search, seems happen from time to time on many difference OS versions. But also seems no definitive solution to fix it.

Anyone has experience on this?

I've tried disk aid, doesn't help.

No solution found, and it's obviously faster to do a clean installation and recovery just the data.

My Mac never do any clean installation since Lion, went through lots of beta or even force downgrade OS. Sure lots of rubbish or even bugs in the OS. So, it's good to perform a clean installation anyway.

Since 10.14.2, I have several problems , a clean install has not changed anything.

Sorry to hear that, but may I know what are they?

I really like 10.14.2 so far. Except Apple took away hardware decoding from the RX580 (which was partially working back in 10.14.0), everything work as expected after the clean installation.

Time to time Mail can't connect to the server , Room EQ Wizard no longer recognizes the input of my audio interface ,Pro tools 12 and Studio One Pro 4.1 are very slow , the dock icon of my iLock Licence manager at startup some times does not appear , I have clips audio with my RME ADI-2 Pro FS (USB) when changing frequency in Audirvana Plus 3.2.14 , Adguard deactivates when booting the OS, I have to reinstall it ...
Since I downgraded to High Sierra I don't have anymore this issues .
