Hello!
For some reason, I am unable to click the box to turn ON "personal file sharing". Also, I am unable to turn OFF "printer sharing". Any thoughts or suggestions? I'm logged in as the admin, using a PowerMac G5 with OS 10.4.11.
Thank you! :)

Server Admin or System Preferences?

Are you using server admin or system preferences?
If server admin, that weird, if system preferences use server admin.:apple:

I'm just using system preferences. I have the client version of OSX.
Is server admin something I can still use?
Thanks!

Check your messages file and see what is happening. In Linux, it is /var/log/messages, but I'm sure OS X is something similar.

The file sharing panel looks very normal, it's just when I click file sharing it does not turn on.

Another thing ill effect I have noticed, is that when I try to connect to a computer that is file sharing -- all that happens is I get the spinning rainbow ball of doom. Only way to get rid of it is to reboot.

Help.
