Hi All,

I've been having problems trying to update my Macbook Pro to OS Mojave. The error I have been getting is 'This disk doesn't use the GUID Partition Table scheme'. I have been looking at loads of different forums to try and resolve this issue but none of what i've found was any help.

I have previously upgraded my HDD from the 500GB to a 1TB Drive which may have caused the issue.

Please see below images of my Macbook Pro's system details, error message and disk utility of the drive.

Thanks in advance for your help with this :)

Your hard drive is formatted for Microsoft Windows or for usage as FAT. You will need to erase and reformat the drive first in order to format as GUID. Make sure you backup all your data first! Formatting will destroy the data. And, if you intend to install Mojave the drive will be reformatted to APFS. So first make sure that you want to update to Mojave.
