Uninstalled app’s icon still on menu bar

It’ about Mojave on my MP 5,1. After I uninstalled CleanMyMacX app, the icon on the menu bar refuses to be removed. Yes, I’ve followed the Apple instructions, but when I simply put the mouse cursor on the icon, the rainbow wheel appears, and that’s it. Any ideas, please?

Problem solved! It required, for some mysterious reason, a full shutdown and start over---not just restart. Thanks anyway.
