iPad Update jailbroken ipad mini on 6.1.2

So I got this ipad mini on 6.1.2

And yeah I feel it's time to update it to ios 8.

But I got a question. Is this possible at this time?
Because everywhere I read I already 8.1.2 to jailbreak.

And yeah If I update I go to 8.3.

Is there any solution for this?

and yeah if you restore it its going to go to 8.3 so yeah you can't jailbreak it then. so yeah
